History

Kurumazaki-Jinja Station opened on 25 March 1910 as Kurumazaki-Jinja-ura Station on the Arashiyama Densha Kidō. Following the company's 2 April 1918 merger it became a stop on the Kyoto Dentō Arashiyama Electric Railway, and was shortened to Kurumazaki Station on 30 June 1922. On 2 March 1942 the line and station passed to the Keifuku Electric Railroad (now branded Randen), and the present name Kurumazaki-Jinja was adopted on 19 March 2007.
