History
Irieoka Station was established on December 9, 1908 as Iriecho Station on the line of the present-day Shizuoka Railway, in what is now Suruga-ku, Shizuoka City. It was renamed to its current name in 1934. The station sits 10.3 kilometers from the line origin at Shin-Shizuoka and has a single island platform. Access is by stairs only, so the station is not wheelchair accessible. Automated ticket machines and turnstiles accept the LuLuCa smart card as well as PiTaPa and ICOCA IC cards. The Shizuoka-Shimizu Line continues to serve the station today as part of the Shizutetsu network.
