History

Yunoyama-Onsen Station opened on June 1, 1913 as Yunoyama Station on the Yokkaichi Railway. Successive mergers transferred the station to Mie Railway in 1931, Sanco in 1944, Mie Electric Railway in 1964, and Kintetsu in 1965. The track gauge was widened to standard gauge and the line was raised to 1,500 V in March 1964. The station was renamed Yunoyama-Onsen on March 1, 1970. Through limited-express service to Nagoya ended in March 1997, and the last regular limited express on the line internally ceased in 2004. The station has two bay platforms, each three cars long.
