History
Mikadodai Station opened on 9 December 1908 as Udo Gakkō-mae on the Shizuoka Railway Shizuoka–Shimizu Line, in present-day Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka. It was renamed Mikadodai on 1 March 1961. Express trains had stopped here under earlier timetables and again during the limited and commuter express operation between 2011 and 2020. Following the timetable revision of 29 March 2025, both express and commuter express services were reinstated and the station became a stop once more. The station has an island platform with two tracks and a building integrated into the platform structure, accessed from the east side of the adjacent level crossing.

Notes
Because the layout offers no pedestrian pavement at the level crossing, the platform building blocks the crossing whenever an approaching up train requires the barriers to remain down for the full pass.
