History
Naganuma Station serves the Shizuoka–Shimizu Line of the Shizuoka Railway in Aoi-ku, Shizuoka, 3.1 kilometres from the line's starting point at Shin-Shizuoka. It opened on 9 December 1908. The station's distinctive layout pairs one island and one side platform serving three tracks, with the company's main rail yard, the Naganuma Depot, occupying the wide land to the north. The depot was relocated here in August 1953 from the cramped Takajōmachi yard, and during the postwar decades it built half-steel-bodied conversions of the line's older cars and produced the Series 21, KuMoHa 100, Series 300 and KuMoHa 350 between 1958 and 1968. From 2 September 2025 the station carries the subtitle 'Bandai Hobby Center'.
