History
Kasugachō Station opened on 2 April 1930 on what is today the Shizuoka Railway's Shizuoka–Shimizu Line, 1.5 km from the line's starting point at Shin-Shizuoka. A safety fence was added in April 2005. The station has a single island platform with a level crossing at one end and a small station building set on the platform itself; automated turnstiles accept the LuLuCa, PiTaPa and ICOCA contactless cards. Designated station number S04, the unstaffed halt served an average of about 850 boarding passengers daily in fiscal 2017.

Notes
The station entrance sits in the middle of a level crossing rather than on either side of the tracks, an unusual arrangement reflecting how tightly the platform is squeezed between road and rail.
