History

Otowachō Station opened on 9 December 1908 as Kiyomizukōen Station (きよみず公園前駅) on what is today the Shizuoka Railway's Shizuoka–Shimizu Line, 1.0 km from the line's starting point at Shin-Shizuoka. It was renamed to Otowachō after the Second World War. The unstaffed halt has a single island platform with a level crossing at one end, and automated turnstiles accept the LuLuCa, PiTaPa and ICOCA contactless cards. In fiscal 2017 it handled about 779 boarding passengers per day.

Notes

The station opened in 1908 under the name Kiyomizukōen ("Kiyomizu Park"), only taking the present Otowachō name after the Second World War.
