History

Harima-Shingū Station opened on July 11, 1932 on what is now the JR West Kishin Line in present-day Tatsuno, Hyōgo Prefecture, 22.1 km from the line's terminus at Himeji. The station passed to West Japan Railway Company on April 1, 1987 with the privatization of Japan National Railways. It has one side platform and one island platform connected by an elevated station building, with a Midori no Madoguchi staffed ticket office. JR West reported an average of about 1,246 passengers per day in fiscal 2019.
