History
Futo Station opened on 10 December 1961 on the Izu Kyūkō Line in the southern part of Itō, Shizuoka Prefecture. Operated by Izukyū Corporation, it occupies the easternmost point of any railway station in Shizuoka Prefecture. The station has two opposed side platforms connected by a level crossing, with the station building facing the up-line platform. Suica and other Kantō IC cards have been accepted across the Izu Kyūkō Line, but the on-site charge machine was removed before the station was made unstaffed on 1 April 2021. Most through trains use the down-line side as a one-line-through configuration, with stopping trains otherwise sorted by direction.
