History

Flower Town Station opened on 28 October 1991 on Kobe Electric Railway's Kōen-toshi (Park City) Line, originally as the line's terminus on the new Yokoyama–Flower Town segment serving the Kobe-Sanda International Park City development. A seven-storey concrete station building had been completed in May 1990 ahead of the opening. When the line was extended west to Woody Town Chūō on 28 March 1996, Flower Town became an intermediate station rather than a terminus. A covered walkway on the 3F of the station building connects to the 2F of the adjacent Flora 88 shopping centre (now an AEON Mita store). The station carries the line number KB31.

Notes

Although the seven-storey building's main entrance looks like a ground-floor concourse, the platform is in fact on the 1F and the ticket gates sit one level above on the 2F.
