History

Ebisu Station opened on 28 December 1937 as Kurumi Station, established when the Miki Electric Railway extended its line from Hirono Golf Course-mae to Miki Higashiguchi (now Miki-Uenomaru) in Miki, Hyōgo Prefecture. It was renamed Ebisu Station on 1 April 1939. The Miki Electric Railway merged with the Kobe Arima Electric Railway on 9 January 1947 to form Shin-Yū Miki Electric Railway, later renamed Kobe Electric Railway. The current station building was completed on 21 March 2002. Today it serves the Shintetsu Ao Line at 17.6 kilometres from Suzurandai, designated KB51. The station is a single-platform unstaffed stop with remote operations and is included on the third selection of "100 Stations of Kinki".
