History
Kakegawa-shiyakusho-mae Station opened on 18 March 1996 as a Tenryū Hamanako Railroad infill stop after Kakegawa city hall relocated to a nearby site. Located in Kakegawa, Shizuoka Prefecture, the station is 1.3 rail kilometres from the line terminus at Kakegawa. It has a single ground-level side platform with a 55-metre usable length sufficient for three-car formations and is unstaffed throughout the day. The station also serves commuters bound for the NEC Platforms and Shinkai Transport System works that flank its forecourt.

Notes
The station lies almost exactly on the 138th meridian east, and its forecourt connects directly to the Kakegawa city hall complex via a bus stop within the hall's own grounds.
