Harimachō Station opened on 19 August 1923 as Honjō Station (本荘駅) on the Sanyo Electric Railway Main Line, in what is now the town of Harima in Hyōgo Prefecture. The station was renamed Harimachō on 7 April 1991. The current layout has two unnumbered elevated side platforms with the station building tucked underneath; the station is 29.9 km from the main line's terminus at Nishidai. As of fiscal 2018 the station handled an average of 2,595 boarding passengers per day.

Notes

Although the station serves Harima town, it took its current name only in 1991 — for the first 68 years it carried the older name Honjō.
