History
Minatogawa-kōen Station opened on 17 June 1983 with the Kobe Municipal Subway Seishin-Yamate Line, in Hyōgo Ward, Kōbe, and from 9 July 1993 a brief express-train regime introduced through services that did not call here. Service was suspended after the 1995 Hanshin Awaji earthquake and resumed on 16 February that year; the short-lived expresses had been withdrawn by the following July. From fiscal 2011 a paid station-sign subtitle introduced the nearby Kawasaki Hospital, an arrangement renewed until fiscal 2018, and platform screen doors entered service in 2022. The underground station has a concourse and ticket gates on the second basement level, with an island platform a further level below.
