History
Takaida Station opened on 5 April 1985 as part of the original eastern extension of the Osaka Municipal Subway Chuo Line. The underground station sits directly beneath JR West's Takaida-Chuo Station on the Osaka Higashi Line, but the two are not connected inside the paid area — transfers must be made at street level. It is staffed and has a single island platform able to accommodate eight-car trains. The station passed to Osaka Metro on 1 April 2018 when the municipal transport bureau was privatised.
