History
Kenchō-dōri Stop opened on 26 September 1927 as Aioibashi-suji Stop between Shiroshita and Sakaemachi-guchi on the Okayama Electric Tramway. It was renamed Uchiyamashita Stop (the second stop of that name) on 13 August 1935, then Kenchō-mae on 1 November 1970, and finally took its current orthography Kenchō-dōri between 2001 and 2003. The stop is now located in Omotechō 1-chōme and Marunouchi 1-chōme on the Higashiyama-bound side, and Omotechō 2-chōme and Uchiyamashita 1-chōme on the Okayama-Ekimae-bound side, on the Higashiyama Main Line. Stop number H05.

Notes
Because the platforms straddle the Uchiyamashita intersection, the Higashiyama-bound and Okayama-Ekimae-bound platforms are offset on opposite sides of the crossroads, each an island platform with only one track in use.
