History
Keisan Kagaku Center Station is operated by Kobe New Transit on the Port Island Line, serving the southern end of Port Island in Kobe's Chūō Ward. It first opened as Port Island Minami Station (ポートアイランド南駅). On 1 July 2011 it was renamed K Computer Mae Station after the K computer then under development at the neighbouring Riken Advanced Institute for Computational Science. Following the decommissioning of the K computer, the station was renamed once more on 19 June 2021 to its current name, with a subtitle pointing visitors to the Kobe Animal Kingdom theme park and the institute's successor supercomputer, Fugaku.

Notes
The station has been renamed twice in a decade to track the supercomputer at the adjacent Riken institute — first for K, then for its 2020 successor Fugaku.
