Kobe Airport Station opened on 2 February 2006, fourteen days before the airport it serves began operations on 16 February 2006. The station, operated by Kobe New Transit, is the southern terminus of the Port Island Line (Port Liner) automated guideway transit; its station number is P09. It sits on Kobe Airport Island in Chūō-ku, Kobe, on a single elevated island platform serving two tracks, and is connected to Terminal 1 of the airport by a covered walkway built for direct gate-to-platform passage. In fiscal 2019 it averaged 3,549 passengers per day.
