History
Higashi-Tarumi Station opened on 12 April 1917, the same day Hyōgo Electric Railway extended its line from Shioya (today Sanyō Shioya) toward Akashi. The unstaffed station stands on the Sanyo Main Line 8.6 kilometres from the Nishidai terminus, in the Tarumi ward of Kobe, and is built around two opposed side platforms linked by an elevated station building above the tracks.
