History

Tenjin-no-Mori Station (HN58) is a Hankai Tramway Hankai Line tram stop in Nishinari-ku, Osaka. It opened on 1 December 1911 with the original Hankai Electric Tramway's Ebisu-chō – Ichinochō (present-day Daishōji) section. The line passed successively to Nankai Railway in 1915, Kinki Nippon Railway in the June 1944 wartime merger, Nankai Electric Railway in June 1947, and the present second-generation Hankai Tramway in December 1980. The stop's name comes from the small Tenjin-no-Mori Tenmangū shrine that stands directly beside the platforms.
