History

Tatsutagawa Station opened on 1 November 1926 as a seasonal stop on the Shigiikoma Electric Railway, catering to autumn visitors who came to view maple leaves and gather mushrooms along the Tatsuta River. It was upgraded to a permanent station on 19 December 1930. The line passed to Kintetsu Railway through a company merger on 1 October 1963 and became part of the Kintetsu Ikoma Line. The single-track ground-level station sits 3.1 kilometres from the Oji terminus, with one side platform serving both directions and a platform length sufficient for four cars. The station is unattended.
