History
Ishizu-kita Station (HN27) is a Hankai Tramway Hankai Line tram stop in Hamadera-Ishizuchō-naka 1-chōme, Nishi-ku, Sakai. It opened on 1 February 2015, set between the existing Higashi-Minato (now HN26) and Ishizu (HN28) stops on what had been an unusually long inter-station gap. The new stop was added as part of Sakai City's package of support measures for the financially-pressed Hankai Tramway. It was the first new Hankai-Line stop since Imafune opened in 1980 — a 35-year gap — and the first station that the present second-generation Hankai Tramway has built itself; the station number HN27 had been left vacant in the original numbering scheme and was assigned here on opening.

Notes
Ishizu-kita is the first new station built by the present (second-generation) Hankai Tramway since its 1980 separation from Nankai, and ended a 35-year gap with no new Hankai-Line stops. The station-number slot HN27 had been left vacant in the original numbering scheme and was assigned to this new stop on opening.
