History
Yudamura Station opened on 21 July 1914 as the Yudamura Stop on the privately-built Ryōbi Light Railway, the predecessor of the Fukuen Line. It was upgraded to a full passenger station on 1 September 1933 following the railway's nationalisation. With the privatisation of the Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987 it came under the control of JR West. The station today has a single side platform with a large weather shelter in place of a station building, and is unstaffed.
