History

Takashinohama Station opened on 25 October 1919 as the new terminus when the Nankai Takashinohama Line was extended from Kyarabashi. The station passed to Kintetsu in the 1944 wartime merger and was transferred to Nankai Electric Railway in the 1947 line separation. Elevated tracks and a new platform structure were completed on 1 March 1970, and station numbering (NK16-2) was assigned in April 2012. Operations were suspended on 22 May 2021 for elevation work on the Hagoromo–Kyarabashi section, with bus substitution running until services resumed on 6 April 2024 alongside a renovated station building, elevators, and an accessible restroom.
