History
Takatori Station opened on 20 August 1994 in Asaminami Ward, Hiroshima, as part of the inaugural Astram Line operated by Hiroshima Rapid Transit. From 20 March 1999 the station was a non-stop on the line's short-lived express services; that arrangement ended on 20 March 2004 when express trains were abolished and all trains again called there. Station operations were contracted out in 2001. PASPY IC card support began on 8 August 2009. The station consists of an elevated island platform serving two tracks, with ticket gates and machines one level below the platform. Its assigned station colour is pink.
