History
Ishizai Station opened on 1925-12-24 on the Mizuma Line in what is now Kaizuka, Osaka Prefecture, and is operated by the private Mizuma Railway. The station, located 2.0 km from the Kaizuka terminus, has a single side platform serving one bi-directional track and is unstaffed. The original wooden station building remained in place after the station was destaffed but was demolished in December 2015, with passengers now entering the platform via a ramp. Although the kanji 石才 are normally read "Ishizai", locally the place name is pronounced "Issai".

Notes
Although the station's kanji are read "Ishizai" in standard Japanese, residents traditionally pronounce the place name "Issai", and locals often call the station Issai-eki.
