History
Yakuri-Shinmichi Station opened on 25 February 1955 on the Kotoden Shido Line, a comparatively late addition to a line whose other intermediate stops mostly date from the 1911 Tosan Electric Tramway era. Designated station S11, the unattended stop sits 9.3 km from the Kawaramachi terminus and has a single side platform serving a bi-directional track. The station is physically close to JR Shikoku's Sanuki-Mure Station, which lies on the opposite side of National Route 11, and the two effectively serve the same neighbourhood from competing operators.
