History
Nishi-Maeda Station opened on 30 April 1912 as a stop on the Takamatsu Electric Tramway, originally sited east of the present location near the Yoshida River. Company mergers on 1 November 1943 brought it under the newly formed Takamatsu-Kotohira Electric Railroad (Kotoden) as a Nagao Line station. On 21 June 1963 the station was relocated to its current site. It is now an unstaffed single-platform halt designated N08.
