History
Keibajōmae Station is an elevated Kitakyushu Monorail station in Kokuraminami-ku, Kitakyushu, located next to Kokura Racecourse and the University of Kitakyushu, with station number 08. It opened on 9 January 1985 as part of the original monorail line. To handle race-day crowds, the up-direction platform was widened in 1999 during a refurbishment that also added a new ticket gate and escalator on the Kokura Racecourse side. ICカード mono SUGOCA became usable on 1 October 2015. The station is directly connected by a covered walkway to the racecourse grandstand and to its third (multi-storey) car park.

Notes
On race days the station's upper platform is significantly wider than its lower platform because the 1999 refurbishment widened only the Kokura-bound (upper) platform, while adding a new ticket gate and escalator on the racecourse side.
