History
Shii Station on the Kitakyūshū Monorail Kokura Line opened on 9 January 1985. ICOCA/SUGOCA-family card use ('mono SUGOCA') began on 1 October 2015. The station is an elevated stop with two opposed side platforms and carries number 12.

Despite sharing a name, this monorail station and JR Kyushu's Shii Station on the Hitahikosan Line lie more than 2 km apart in straight-line distance. The two systems do interconnect, however, just one station east: the adjacent monorail station Kikugaoka and JR's Shii-Kōen lie only about 200 m apart.
