History
Shin-Koyanose Station opened on 28 April 2004 as the newest station on the Chikuhō Electric Railroad Line, the first single-stop addition to the system since Imaike Station 34 years earlier. The ground-level station serves Yahatanishi-ku, Kitakyūshū, in Fukuoka Prefecture, and sits 12.1 km from the line's northern terminus at Kurosaki. It uses two side platforms linked by a level crossing and operates unattended under operator Chikuhō Electric Railroad (Chikutetsu), carrying station number CK17. The Sanyō Shinkansen viaduct and the Kyūshū Expressway cross the tracks nearby.
