History
Koyanose Station opened on 29 April 1958 as the southern terminus of the Chikuhō Electric Railroad Line, which had been extended that day from Chikuhō-Nakama. It became an intermediate stop on 18 September 1959 when the line was extended further to Chikuhō-Nōgata. The elevated station lies in Yahatanishi-ku, Kitakyūshū, with two side platforms linked by a level crossing, and operates unattended under Chikuhō Electric Railroad (Chikutetsu), carrying the station number CK18. No turnback facility remains from its former-terminus days.
