History
Ongano Station opened on 18 September 1959 as part of the Chikuhō Electric Railroad Line's extension to Chikuhō-Nōgata. Located in the city of Nōgata, Fukuoka Prefecture, it sits 13.9 km from the line's opposite terminus at Kurosaki and carries the station number CK19. The ground-level station has two side platforms linked by a level crossing and operates unattended under operator Chikuhō Electric Railroad (Chikutetsu).
