History
Fujitana Station opened on 22 December 1990 on the Ita Line of the third-sector Heisei Chikuhō Railway, in the city of Nōgata in Fukuoka Prefecture. Numbered HC4, it sits 3.6 km from the start of the line at Nōgata. The unstaffed station consists of two opposed side platforms connected by a level crossing, with no station building. The platforms are mounted on an embankment and reached only by a flight of stairs, making the station not wheelchair accessible. Trains call roughly every 30 minutes throughout the day.
