History

Kashii-Kaenmae Station opened on 1 April 1941 as a Hakata Bay Railway and Steamship temporary halt under the name Kashii-Fukunichienmae, serving a nearby tulip park. It was renamed Undōjō-mae on 1 April 1942, and a few months later the operator merged into the Kyushu Electric Railway, predecessor of Nishitetsu. The current station building was rebuilt in 1949, the name changed to Kashii-Kaenmae on 13 May 1957, and station numbering NK06 was introduced on 1 February 2017. The eponymous Kashii Kaen amusement park closed on 30 December 2021, but the station name was retained, and a second platform was reinstated on 16 March 2026 for new short-turn services from Kaizuka.

Notes

Although the namesake Kashii Kaen amusement park shut on 30 December 2021, Nishitetsu chose to keep the station's name unchanged.
