History
Nishi-Takasu Station opened on 30 August 1964 as an infill stop on the Gomen Line, in the Kazurashima district between Kazurashimabashi-higashizume to the west and Kenritsubijutsukan-dōri to the east. The stop passed to Tosaden Kōtsū on 1 October 2014 with the operator merger. The two platforms face each other across the tracks — Gomenmachi-bound on the north, Harimaya-bashi-bound on the south.

Notes
Beyond this stop east, the Gomen Line runs alongside Route 195; west of here the tracks part company with the highway and run on private right-of-way to Kazurashimabashi-higashizume. The Sunny Mart Takasu store to the north generates much of the stop's ridership.
