History

Yamaguma Station was opened on 1 November 1987 by the Amagi Railway, a third-sector public-private partnership operator, as an added intermediate station on its existing Amagi Line track between Kiyama and Amagi. The station lies in the town of Chikuzen, Fukuoka Prefecture, and is positioned 9.6 kilometres from the line's starting point at Kiyama. It consists of a single side platform serving one bi-directional track, with no station building — only an enclosed shelter on the platform for waiting passengers — and is reached by a short ramp from the access road. All Amagi Line trains stop here.
