History

Fukushimaguchi Station opened on 10 March 1990 as a new stop on the Matsuura Railway Nishi-Kyūshū Line. The single side platform sits on slightly raised ground with no station building, only a waiting room, and the station is unstaffed. The station signboard was renewed in January 2024 along with those of six other Imari stations through a crowdfunding campaign. Located in Yamashiro-cho Tateiwa, Imari, Saga Prefecture, the station marks the westernmost rail station in Saga Prefecture; walking a few hundred metres west crosses into Nagasaki Prefecture.
