History
Kōgyōdanchi Station opened on 1 October 1997 as an intermediate stop on the newly built Tosa Kuroshio Railway Sukumo Line between Nakamura and Sukumo. The unstaffed station, in Sukumo, Kōchi Prefecture, has a single side platform serving one track set in a cutting, with no station building; an enclosed shelter on the platform serves waiting passengers. The access road runs along the top of the cutting, and a flight of steps leads down to the platform with bike sheds provided at the top. Only local trains stop there, with some eastbound services continuing through Nakamura onto the Nakamura Line as far as Kubokawa.
