Notes

Hirata is the gateway station for the village of Mihara just south of Sukumo. Despite being unstaffed (during the day, however, station staff are now in attendance), all 'Ashizuri' and 'Shimanto' limited expresses stop here. It is an elevated station with a 112-metre single side platform; access is by stairs and an elevator. The Mihara Village Bus also stops at the 'Hirata-eki' bus stop in the forecourt, and Enkō-ji Temple lies about 2 km away.
