History
Ariake-Yue Station first opened on 6 May 1919 as Yue Station (湯江駅), on what is now the Shimabara Railway Line. It was renamed Shimatetsu-Yue (島鉄湯江駅) in 1934, and renamed once more to its present name, Ariake-Yue, on 1 October 2019. The stop is a single side platform with a small one-storey station building near the centre containing toilets, a waiting room and a station office; the station is unstaffed.

Notes
The station's previous name, Shimatetsu-Yue, was a portmanteau of "Shimabara Railway" (Shimatetsu) and "Yue".
