History
Uchigoshi Station opened on 15 March 1953 on the Kumamoto Electric Railway Kikuchi Line, 2.1 km from the line's origin at Kami-Kumamoto. The ground-level station has a single side platform, no station building, and is unattended. It joined the regional Kumamon IC CARD environment on 1 April 2015 and was assigned station number KD04 when system-wide numbering was introduced on 1 October 2019. A wooden waiting shelter that had stood on the platform was lost in a fire on 20 May 2018.
