History
Kōgakubu-mae Station is a Kagoshima City Tram Tōsō Line tram stop in Kōrimoto 1-chōme, Kagoshima, serving Route 2. The stop was opened on 29 March 1957 by the Kagoshima City Transportation Bureau, simultaneously with several other Tōsō Line stops in the postwar extension south of Kanda. It has two opposed side platforms at-grade, both restricted to standard wheelchairs because the platform width is below the regulation minimum; it is unstaffed and tickets are not sold on site. Despite the name ("in front of the Engineering Faculty"), the closest Kagoshima University faculty here is Law/Literature/Education; the Engineering Faculty itself is closer to Tōsō Station, one stop south.

Notes
Despite being named "Kōgakubu-mae" — "Engineering Faculty front" — the nearest Kagoshima University buildings here are actually those of the Faculty of Law-Letters and the Faculty of Education; the Engineering Faculty itself is closer to the next stop south, Tōsō.
