History

Usuki-itchōme Station is a Kagoshima City Tram Tanyama Line tram stop in Usuki 1-chōme, Kagoshima, served by Route 1. The stop opened on 14 April 1979 under the Kagoshima City Transportation Bureau, the youngest stop on the Tanyama Line. It has two opposed side platforms with an adjacent grade crossing that lets riders move between platforms at any time the tram is not passing, plus approach indicators and announcements on both sides. Standard wheelchairs are accepted, but powered chairs are not permitted because the platform width is below the regulation minimum. Nearby are the Opsia Misumi shopping centre and Round-One Kagoshima entertainment complex.
