History
Higashi-Shukugō Station (no. 02) is an Utsunomiya Light Rail Utsunomiya-Haga LRT Line tram stop in Higashi-shukugō, Utsunomiya. The stop's name was decided on 23 April 2021, replacing the provisional working title "Shukugō-chō". It opened on 26 August 2023 with the rest of the line, and on opening day a parade was held between Daiwa Roynet Hotel-mae and the stop to coincide with the inaugural special-train service. The stop has a staggered two-platform layout adjoining the Higashi-shukugō Intersection — the Haga-Takanezawa-direction platform sits east of the intersection and the Utsunomiya Station East-direction platform sits west of it. Construction was carried out by Maskēn.

Notes
Higashi-Shukugō's preferred location was once intended to be a stop named "Higashi-Shukugō", but that placeholder name was reassigned to the next stop east — making this stop bear a name that the neighbouring stop wore through the entire planning phase.
