History
Ekihigashi-kōen-mae Station (no. 03) is an Utsunomiya Light Rail Utsunomiya-Haga LRT Line tram stop at the intersection of Tochigi Prefectural Route 64 (Utsunomiya-Mukōda) and Utsunomiya Municipal Route 1605 in Higashi-shukugō, Utsunomiya. The stop is named for Utsunomiya Station East Park, which lies to the north. The provisional name during planning was "Higashi-Shukugō", but that was reassigned to the neighbouring stop closer to Utsunomiya Station. The stop's name was decided on 23 April 2021, and it opened on 26 August 2023. Tochigi Bank purchased the naming rights and added the sub-name "Tochigi Ginkō Utsunomiya-Higashi Shiten-mae". The stop has a staggered two-platform layout — the Haga-Takanezawa-direction platform sits east of the intersection and the Utsunomiya Station East-direction platform sits west of it.

Notes
The stop's name comes from the nearby Utsunomiya Station East Park; the surrounding cluster includes the City Sports Centre (Brex Arena Utsunomiya), the Tochigi Industrial Exhibition Hall (Maronnier Plaza) and the Tochigi Prefectural Utsunomiya-Hakuyō High School to the north, with the Tochigi Bank Utsunomiya-Higashi branch — for which the stop has its sub-name — sitting directly behind platform 2.
