History
Tanukikōji Stop (SC24) is on the Sapporo Streetcar Toshin Line in Chūō-ku, Sapporo, set in the middle of the Tanukikōji shōtengai shopping arcade between blocks 3 and 4. It opened on 20 December 2015 with the Toshin Line — the new section that completed the Sapporo Streetcar ring — and was awarded a Good Design Award in 2017. Earlier, between roughly 1921 and 1936, there was an unrelated stop called Tanukikōji on the Sapporo Streetcar's former Teikō Line (after Nishi-yon-chōme Line) close to the same location.

Notes
Unlike the other Sapporo streetcar stops — which have safety islands in the middle of the road — Tanukikōji uses a side-reservation track plan: the rails hug the pavement and passengers board directly from the sidewalk, the only Sapporo Streetcar stop set up that way.
