History

Nakajima-kōen-dōri Stop (SC19) is on the Sapporo Streetcar Yamahana Line in Chūō-ku, Sapporo, at the Nishi-7-chōme-dōri/Minami-11-jō-dōri intersection (Minami 11-jō Nishi 6-chōme). It opened on 25 August 1923 as Kitsune-kōji Stop, was renamed Kōen-dōri at some point between 1923 and 1925, abolished on 1 December 1941, reopened on 31 July 1948, and renamed Nakajima-kōen-dōri on 8 June 1949. The stop number SC19 was assigned on 1 April 2015. Until the Subway Namboku Line opened in 1971, this was the principal access to Nakajima Park after the Sapporo Streetcar Nakajima Line was abolished in 1948.
