History
Yunokawa-onsen Stop (DY02) is on the Hakodate City Tram Yunokawa Line in Yukawa-chō 1-chōme, Hakodate, Hokkaidō. It opened on 29 June 1913 as Samegawa-bashi Stop, with the section beyond it to Yukawa terminus being single-track. It was renamed Samegawa before 1938, then through Onsen-iriguchi and Yukawa before settling on the present Yunokawa-onsen, and was made the terminus on 2 July 1945 when the Samegawa–Yukawa single track was removed. On 2 September 1959 the Yunokawa-onsen–Yunokawa section was re-laid as a double track, restoring the stop to an intermediate position. Renovation works ran 16 November–22 December 2017 and again 30 October–25 December 2020, widening both platforms, adding 15 m of new platform on the outbound side, and installing LED-illuminated safety fences.

Notes
The 2020 platform expansion took advantage of an arrangement unique to this stop: the existing outbound (Yukawa-bound) platform was kept as a 1 m-wide passage, while a brand-new 1–1.4 m wide platform was attached on the Hakodate-Arena side, so passengers wait on a new platform but still board from the original spot.
