History

Tsurugasaka Station is on JR East's Ōu Main Line in Aomori, Aomori Prefecture. It opened on 15 November 1929 as Tsurugasaka Signal Stop and was promoted to a station on 20 January 1933. With the privatisation of JNR on 1 April 1987 the station came under JR East. The middle siding between platforms 1 and 2 was removed in 1998, the present station building was completed on 25 July 2007, and Suica became usable on 27 May 2023. The station is unstaffed and managed from the Hirosaki District Centre.

Notes

Tsurugasaka stops only ordinary trains today, but until around the mid-1960s one up "Iwaki" semi-express passed through with a stop here.
